Students should be taught when working online to avoid problems

 

As a result of the Corona Virus outbreak, students are increasingly working online. The global education system has been forced to find alternatives to face-to-face instruction as a result of the crisis. As a result, instructors have begun to employ online teaching and learning, and one of the teachers' roles is to introduce this to pupils. As a result, in order to avoid issues, we as teachers should instruct and lead our pupils when working online.

As a teacher, I may educate students how to prevent issues when working online by teaching them the following: Be an active member of the online community, to leave a favorable digital footprint, be attentive of their content, manage their time by being themselves, stay away from social media distractions.

Challenges I face in learning/teaching online

With the advent of online schooling in 2021, the educational landscape will have shifted significantly. Everyone assumed that when education moved online because to covid19 constraints, it would be a one-time transition, but about a year and a half later, schools are still operating online. For the time being, the globe is still grappling with the effects of the epidemic, and information will continue to be provided online. There has been fast online development and changes in the way online education is offered when compared to 2019.

Asking God to lift up the Corona virus from our earth since it is the main reason behind learning online.

What are the obstacles to studying and teaching online that we all face?

Online learners' lack of motivation, where as challenging as distance teaching is for us, it is likely to be far more difficult for students. As a student, I transitioned from classrooms where studying is explicitly encouraged to bedrooms and kitchen tables where distractions abound and professional help isn't always available. Also, time-consuming resources when a teacher can no longer teach simply by standing in front of a class, I must rely on resources to complete the task for you. Making those takes time. In addition to that attention is an obstacle where I have the ability to quiet my mics (and chat to anyone I choose) while I am studying, yet other students are prone to getting up and strolling away from their class....

Other common problems are:

1. Problems with internet
2. Time management 
3. lack of in-person interaction
4. Adapting to unfamiliar technology
5. lack engaging somehow

Tools can be used in online assessment

 An online assessment is a method of assessing what pupils know depending on their educational background. Using accessible online tools, this examination is carried out through the Internet. All assessments have the same purpose of assessing and enhancing students' learning. An online evaluation has the benefit of speed and accuracy over a traditional assessment approach.

 Google Form: Google Forms is popular among teachers because it is quick and easy to create and grade quizzes. Its very important in teaching nowadays via internet.

6-Padlet

Padlet: It is a program that allows you to establish an online bulletin board where you may post information on any subject. It may be used by teachers to receive feedback or rapid replies to a specific question. This allows students to engage, think, and work at the same time.Padlet can be used instead of sticky notes.

Integrating Technology into Teaching

 In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the use of technology and its integration into education, resulting in significant success and improvements in the teaching/learning process. In the educational field, technology saves time, promotes active learning in the classroom, increases engagement time, and leads to a successful learning process.

The variety of apps that can be used to demonstrate a lesson, introduce new material, collect data about students, and assess their learning progress is what most motivates me to use technological tools in my classroom. This saves me time while increasing their class participation.

Incorporating technology into the teaching/learning process is essential because it benefits both the teacher and the students. It will aid teachers in lesson planning, execution, and evaluation. Simultaneously, by allowing all students to participate in the learning process, it will increase student engagement.

What I enjoy :

By improving interpersonal connections, technology had the power to improve and in bed of lying. In fact, Educational Media and Technology (Educ561) is a very effective course that provides us with practical information about how to use technology in our daily lives. So, I have great feelings about this course, especially because it enabled me to experiment with various tools and platforms in teaching and, more significantly, in the remote learning process.

It also helps to join up for free sites like "Word Wall" and "Padlet," which add interest to the session.

It also improves the rule of cooperation during group projects, such as utilizing Google Slides.

Not only that, but having a well-experienced instructor who enlivens the course by requiring students to interact with one another and with the course itself ensures that everything runs smoothly and in such a way that I have no ideas for improvement.

what I wish would be different:

I would rather take this course on campus because I believe that learning the tools and applications in class will be more interesting and helpful than doing them online. Furthermore, due to a power outage, I was unable to attend most of the lectures live, which made it difficult for me to implement some of the techniques I learned when listening to the recordings.
